Cover art for dvd/blu ray's
« on: September 04, 2011, 11:27:02 am »

Hi there,

I am wondering if there is also a possiblity for  getting some dvd cover arts. For my cd's it works perfect.

It is a job to make a copy with my scanning device and then putting it in MC 16.

Anyone an suggestion?

Regards,

AJR

Right click on a DVD and choose Get Movie Info.  There are three choices for the source.

I use IMP Awards, MovieGoods or MoviePosterdb to find the original movieposter for each movie.
I use 300x430 images to use as folder.jpg. It's a lot of work but it looks great.
You have to improvise sometimes to make it fit, most posters are a bit higher in size but can be cut of most of the time.
If not I make them like 410 or 420 high with a white background.
Maybe 300x440 could be a better choice. (I started 300x430 because it fits a regular DVD insert, for series or TV movies)

Most databases are using a lot of dvd-inlay images for their movies. Even on IMDB DVD inlays are common.
That's why I prefer to make them myself. It can be difficult to find real old ones but so far I've managed.

Just my 2 cents...
