MC16 Benchmarks!

I ran the MC16 benchmark tests on two of my 3 years old  pc's (main pc as library server, test pc with mc library client):

Theirs scores are: 
1. 1452/1540/2319/JRmark: 1771
2. 1497/1699/2309/JRmark: 1835

Now, what do those absolute values mean? Nothing without any kind of reference table that I can compare those values with. Unfortunately I did not find any such reference table anywhere!

The corresponding Windows performance indices are:
CPU: 6.5/6.5
RAM: 6.5/6.8
Graphic: 6.8/4.5
3D-Graphic: 6.8/5.3
HDD: 7.0/5.9

Although the first PC has a much better graphic card and an SDD disk, the second PC has more RAM (8GB vs. 4GB) and gives better overall JRmarks. So it seems that the amount of RAM is the key player in determine the JR marks results! Any comments?

There is a thread where people posted theirs.  Do a search.

here is mine for a modern PC with iffy graphics (I'm not sure if my disk configuration makes a difference.  Everything is on a spinny disk but my OS is on an SSD.) ...

This is an over-simplification:
1000 Good
2000 Very Good
3000 Excellent
4000 Insane (Matt, for example)

4000 is possible? :p

My system is pretty fast, and i only get 3600.
i7-2600K (OC'ed to 4.4Ghz), NVIDIA GTX 570, 16gb of RAM, everything running on a SSD

If you described your systems (CPU, amount of Ram, hard drive, graphics card), your results would be adding to the store of knowledge.

I've Been tuning on my i7 2600k system lately...

It's running at 4.95 Ghz and sipping power, drawing only 66 watts from the wall at idle. It has 16GB CORSAIR Vengeance XMP Memory and it made a big difference when I set the ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe Bios to use XMP. It has a low end Nvidia 430 graphics card. I'm going to bump up my graphics card a couple notches with a new AMD/ATI 6670. I don't do any gaming so I want my power load will stay nice and low. I'm going with ATI because of the lack of 88.2 support over HDMI with Nvidia. The system has an OCZ Vertex 3 120G SSD Boot drive and 12 regular (Green) data drives totaling 20TB.

I LOVE the Sandybridge implementation, You can set aggressive power savings AND aggressive overclocking at the same time!

Truly the best of both worlds!

I am planning to buy one of those Asrock Vision 3D to use as HTPC.
