Not sure if this is what the OP was referring to - but in Theater View>Movies, when toggling list types, after you go through the choices it "used to" end with the "row of covers that extends to infinity" (I thought this might be the "3D wall" OP refers to) then selecting toggle list again would go back to the first choice in the list styles, but now it ends at a view of a single Movie showing the cover and description (the movie cover is shown the lower right hand corner and most of the screen/view is blank). I did not see anything realted to "trying to reach".
