Playing Local Content
« on: December 15, 2011, 11:19:57 pm »

Before I go and buy Winamp for android, I thought I would double check that JRiver weren't about to release a Gizmo that can play local content?  As discussed previously the dream of only streaming media is not an option for most of us outside of the US with its unlimited data plans and a JRiver local content player would be a welcome addition.  Better still something that could play local content if available, otherwise try and stream would be cool (with view toggles to hide non-local content).

Thanks

We'd love to it but don't have enough time.

My Droid III has 32GB of storage...I can put hundreds of uncompressed music files on the thing. What I want is an app that will look and work like MC 17 on my phone. Then I can play local content. Until MC produces such an app, I recommend PowerAmp for android. Good sound and relatively user friendly.

Still, I can lust after a MC app....sigh!

Thanks for the reply.

For what it is worth, I would pay for a stand alone player that JRiver would make.  On a search for players, there were only 3 players that were constantly recommended.  Not a big field.
