I have found that there is a long-standing problem with Android that prevents the tags in WMA files from being properly read into the multimedia database. An Android app called ID3Fixer is said to be able to correct the issue. My question is, since I use MC to do my encoding, is there a way to make WMAs that will be acceptable to Android from the beginning?

Could I ask why wma - rather than say MP3 - which would probably be read correctly from the start?

Somewhere along the way I was lead to believe that WMA was a newer and better codec than old and tired MP3. Thus, I ended up encoding most of my library as WMA.

Point taken though.
