« on: January 04, 2012, 04:59:17 pm »

Hi,

I am testing your generous free trial and Im very impressed how easy the TV installation has been.

I just cannot find how to add a Television menu to the theatre menu

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

With v17, Television is under Video > Shows and Video > Guide.

You'll have to first setup television in Standard View (Drives & Devices > Television in the tree).

great thanks,

I have seen some screenshots with Television as a top menu item. is this a custom menu item?

I have to say how impressed I am with this software. After struggling with XBMC using mediaportal as a TV backend, JRiver is a breeze to set up.

what is the maximum number of tuners that will work?

Thanks

Thank you.  I don't know of a maximum number of tuners.  At least four.

There is no maximum as far as MC is concerned.  It is only limited by your computer hardware (the number of available internal slots, the number of of USB ports, and the amount of memory and CPU speed).  If you want to simultaneously record many shows, you need a more powerful computer.  I can not give you a more quantitative specification though.
