Hello All,

Sorry if this has already been answered in an earlier post, but I am trying to access my Media Center from another machine via a web browser and am unable to connect. I have enabled the media server and am trying to connect using the default 1024 port to the IP of the machine but no joy. I have also made sure that I have port forwarding to the IP address of the media center machine within the router - is there a step by step guide on how to set this up so that I can check against my configuration? I am using the latest MC 17 product.

Where did you get that the default port is 1024 everything I have seen says it is 52199 but you can use any port above 1024.
What does your config say in Options-Media Network-Advanced-TCP port

Thanks all - I had not selected the option to share the library and enable DLNA  - I saw DLNA and got confused as I don't want the media library to serve another device but simply want to be able to connect via my iPad and control my PC to play the audio through my DAC.

All seems to be working now and I guess I am still learning...
