Video Cover Art & Tagging Issues
« on: January 23, 2012, 06:03:14 pm »

My system upgraded to 17.0.71 - The new auto-import options supplanted some videos cover art and added unnecessary movie info that is not wanted.  I had the movie covers manually supplied from the folder of the video file.  How do I remove these new added tagging and cover art so I can go back to how it was set before?

Thanks, Erik

This was fixed in build 73:

7. Changed: When looking up movie & TV information automatically as part of auto-import, fields with existing data will never be overwritten (manually running the tool will overwrite existing data).

You can restore a backup.  MC makes them automatically.

Open MC.
Go to Playing Now under the tree and select your library under the Folder drop down thing.
Click the Restore button over on the right-hand side.  You can only restore the active Library.

When you get the browse dialog, the drop down list should be pre-filled with a bunch of your more recent automatic backups.

I did the restore to a date from before the upgrade and the supplanted videos tags are still there.
