Removing empty folders message options
« on: February 16, 2012, 11:47:27 am »

2. Changed: The 'Don't ask me again' box when prompting about removing empty folders will save both a yes or no answer (previously by design it would only save a yes answer).

Presently this question only appears when MC17 is closed, it then shows up on the primary monitor not the extended monitor.  In my setup the primary monitor is not switched on!

Could we please have the questions asked after the last file in the folder is deleted, rather than when MC17 is closed?

This was changed in 17.0.85 at your request:

If the prompt is a problem, check the 'Don't ask me again box'.

Matt, I appreciate and am grateful for the change made in 17.0.85, this fixed half of the problem. It did not fix the issue of MC17 sending the notification on program close/exit, why can't MC17 notify in real time i.e when the last file in the folder is deleted?

How are you deleting?

When I delete in Standard View, it asks about empty folders as soon as it finishes deleting.

MC is started and closed remotely in Theatre View C:\Windows\System32\MC17.exe  /mode theater

and the question has NEVER popped up until the program is closed by which time my projector has turned off. The question then shows up on my primary monitor and causes MC to hang rather than close as requested in the close down macro.

I hope this helps and we have simply uncovered an anomaly in theater mode that can be fixed.

You're in Theater View, but what's deleting files?  Are you doing it with a remote from the couch?

You're in Theater View, but what's deleting files?  Are you doing it with a remote from the couch?

After watching a series file, I delete it through the Theater View interface using IR /USB-UIRT Receiver plugin within Girder.

These are the same functions used to select films for viewing except I choose delete the file permanently from the menu and then confirm.

All navigation and delete confirmation commands are executed via the Core Command list.

So to answer your question, Yes I delete them from the couch.

In a coming build:
Fixed: Sometimes when deleting files, especially from Theater View, the remove empty folders prompt would not appear right away.

Thanks for your help.

I am new to this and this is my first ever forum also. I want MC17 to "DELETE EMPTY FOLDERS" and I said "YES" and asked not to show message again, BUT now it is not deleting the empty folders. How do I get back tp this question?
