I've just installed the JR MC version 17 on my win7 64 bit window and purchased a license.
I click on the registration code which produced a .EXE file.
However, when I try to run the .EXE, I got the error message:

"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running.
Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 or x64 version of the program,
and then contact the software publisher"

Can anyone tell me what should I do?

If you installed and purchased, you should be done.

The "exe" you're seeing is, I think, a bug in your browser.  One of the browsers renames our mjr file as exe and that causes problems.  Delete the file and do a restore again, but this time using IE.
