Search arrow, copy metadata between libraries
« on: February 24, 2012, 10:58:46 am »

Hi,

Two questions:
1. I use the little quick search arrows (Artis/Album) a lot. Is it possible to activate this arrow on the Name column? I collect cover-songs from lots of different artists and it would be great to be able to find all different cover-versions with the quick search icon.

2. I have multiple libraries. Is it possible to copy the metadata from an mp3-file, which I want in both libraries, from one library to the other? Now, in the second library, I only have the metadata which was stored in the mp3 file. Or is there a best practice for getting one mp3 file in two libraries with all the same metadat (databse-info)? ?

1.  No

2.  I don't know a way other than the internal tags.

2. Use File > Export Playlist... to export all the relevant files to an MPL Playlist. Import the playlist to the other library.
