MC always takes control of an IR commands even if isn't the active application

I posted this in the MC14 forum, but didn't get any replies.  Posting here in the hopes that the same answer applies across version.

I've got MC plus MCE plus HuluDesktop plus Intelliremote.  Everytime I push Play, MC always handles the request and tries to launch itself and play the last track.  I'm using Intelliremote to try and bring some sanity to the different apps, but unless I shut down MediaServer, I can't get the others to play nicely with MC no matter what profile is selected for Intelliremote.

I looked in the options and didn't find anything obvious.  Is there option I can run so that MC only takes the IR commands if it the active window?

If you're using MC14, please post there.  Bump your post if you need to.

Intelliremote has a forum that might be useful.

Not running Media Server might do what you want.
