MC 17 slower with linked zones

I find MC17 slower in operation.
For example when I press "next track" button, there a short silence, then again a bit of current track, then the next track.
MC17 is runing almost alone on a machine with 4gb, Windows 7, Intel Core 2 Duo E8400.
I don't know if it is linked with my other problems (regular Crashes or not responding, issues with linked zone)

Linked zones can cause playback commands to be slower.

For linked zone crashes, please make sure you have 17.0.122.  There were some fixes recently.
