I'll be at the T.H.E. Show in Newport beach June 2 and 3:
http://www.theshownewport.com/

There's a DSD panel I'm part of Saturday at 4:30 and Sunday at 2:00 in the Hilton.

I'll be wandering around the show the rest of the time.

If you happen to be in the area, it'd be fun to meet.

There is going to be some amazing kit at that show. Be sure to bring some good music with you on CD or jumpdrive.

If you catch the Channel D room usually they run Joseph Audio speakers (and have all the Lynx gear). Trenner & Friedl there too.

Check out the Sanders Sound Systems electro-stats too! I heard them last year...fun stuff.

Would love to see a video of the DSD panel talk.

Boo on that website.  Especially the splash page with the music, but even after you say "Oh god stop it" and click through to the site proper, it is still the type of site that would make my designer co-workers' heads explode.

Only thing it is missing is more starburst.

Also, it is in California.  When I read "Newport" I, being a right-coaster, though immediately of Rhode Island and I thought "Ooh, that's just a hop away.  Maybe I'll go." But it isn't.  Sigh.

That's about 20 minutes from me. Thanks for posting. I hadn't heard about it.

I saw quite a few rooms using JRiver for music playback. The guy in the KEF room talked about it for a good time. That room sounded amazing btw.

Matt called me this afternoon.  He was pretty excited about the reaction to JRiver at the show.  He's run out of business cards.  He said he'd never felt as much like a rock star as he did at the show.  Someone came to one of the panels, sat through it all, got up at the end and said "I just want to say how much I love JRiver" and walked out.  Whoever that was, "Thank you!".

Thanks to everyone that came to the show.

I met Castius (and little Castius), LeoH, and several others.  It's all a bit of a blur, but it was a great time with a lot of great sound.

Today I sat down next to Rob of Channel D (he represented Apple media players on the panel) and he said "JRiver sure seems to have a lot of fans."

Thanks for the support!

I thought it was kind of funny that every instance of JRiver I saw running was either on a Mac laptop or an iPad.

It's always nice to meet the people behind the software.
I wish i could have made it through the whole seminar. But i didn't want my son to be a distraction.
