Hi

I just bought MC and got the serial code. Then I went to the Restore page, typed in my code and downloaded the "Media Center18-181703.exe" file.

When I run this file I get an error message about an illegal instruction, the title of the message dialog says something about 16-bit MS-DOS. If i click "Close" it closes, if I click "Ignore" the commandline stays up, but is forever empty. Nothing happens.

What can I do?
I've downloaded the file several times and I've tried to run it instead of downloading.

By the way, I see that the license file called "Media Center18...", but I'm running Media Center 17 downloaded a couple of weeks ago.

Can this be the problem?

The license file is not an executable. Rename the file to *.mjr and double-click it.

That's a bug in your browser.  It renames any extension it doesn't like as .exe.  mjr is the correct extension.
