32bit/384khz output J.river 18

I have a M2tech Young Dac, it support 32bit/384khz over USB.
I have set the settings of the plugin M2tech Young Dac on 32bit/384KHZ,
so it is ready to go. I have block all the windows 8 audio drivers, so they can’t stay in the way of the output signal.
Every time I set the output setting on JRiver 18 to Kernel Streaming 32bit/384khz, I get a message that my output device don’t support the 32bit/384khz output setting. 24bit/384 works fine with J.river 18. Allso the Direct , Wasapi mode Won’t work with 32bit/384khz output
I don’t know whate I do wrong, with foobar it works fine over Kernel Streaming 32bit/384khz output.
Is there something I do wrong?, pleace kan you help me out.

Greetings Henk

Welcome.

32-bit integer output was just added to the latest version (previously 32-bit output was only floating point).  Please update and try again:

Make sure you pick '32-bit integer' in DSP Studio > Output Format > Bitdepth.

Off topic a bit, but what is the point of 32/384 when the best source info you can buy is 24/192 (or the best I can find)?

I understand you want to use all the capabilities of your cool equipment but I'm not sure I see the point of 32/384 unless you are recording your own music and have the ability to record at that resolution.

Personally on my set up I have a hard time hearing any difference between 24/96 and 24/192 but I know I need new speakers.

Thanks! ::)

It Works fine with the latest version of J.river, i am very happy.
I have a Chord CPM 2600 integrated amp and Klipsch Cornwall III speakers, the sound of a 24bit/96khz flac file is great.
I must tested the sound of the 32bit/384khz settings, but its a fine thing to know that its works.

Thanks and greetings from Holland  :o

I have tested the 32bit/384khz output, and it sounds great with my M2tech Young dac, is it better than 24bit/192khz that's a personal question.
With my setup it sounded great, there is more deph and al instruments are at the wright  place. The low freqence is better than 24bit, but that will by otherwise in another setup. so far so good!
I must tested DSD I think that sounded even better, for now a'm happy :)
