License Problem (self imposed)
« on: November 15, 2012, 05:01:14 pm »

Hi, tonight I was just tidying up my systems a bit and I decided to change the name of my MC18 client PC to make it more easily identifiable on the network. However, now MC is reporting that it is unregistered and has 11 days left in the trial period whereas before I changed the name it was fully registered. Is there anything I can do to get the registration back to as before without using one of my restores.

I'm just concerned about using my license restores unnecessarily as I will probably be making various hardware changes over the coming year which will require OS re-installs etc and will also require license restores and I'm concerned that I may run out of them.

So basically, is there any way of recovering the license on this system.

Thanks

Russell

Don't worry about using up the restores.  If you run out, post here and Jim will reset it for you (unless you're up to no good, of course).

Thanks very much glynor, that has made me feel much better.

Serves me right for messing with the system when it was working fine.
