I'm using the latest MC18 build together with Gizmo on my Android from the JRiver website (not from the Play Store).

I know this has been asked before and the answer was wait 1 minute, go back to home & navigate your smartlists again, but this doesn't do the job.

It seems that smartlists on Gizmo are never refreshed unless the JRiver Media Server is restarted.

As my Media server does almost never restart (this is installed on a windows server in another room and almost never touched) this is very inconvenient.

Is there any way to force a refresh of smartlists via Gizmo without having to restart Media Server each time ?
(apparently this is the same behavior via Webplay)

I can't reproduce this.

I made a smartlist '10 Random Songs'.

I used Gizmo and played it.

After a minute of the song, I hit home and went to the smartlist again.  It had new files.

Any other clues?

This is the scenario I follow:

- Gizmo for Android (from the site, not from play store) on a Samsung Galaxy SII (Jellybean 4.1.2)
- Latest MC18 beta from yesterday
- Smartlist from a certain Genre & Subgenre with a limit of 80 minutes
- MC server (Windows) is not touched anymore during this test

In Gizmo:
- Play 1st song from smartlist for 5 seconds, click on stop.
- Go to home and wait (even 30 minutes or longer), even exit Gizmo completely and re-open it
- Go into same smartlist again, still same songs are listed
- Same behaviour for Play Doctor lists

I do note however when refreshing a smartlist in MC Server (does not have to be the same one as the one I'm testing), the Gizmo smartlist I'm testing is also refreshed, this still does not work for Play Doctor lists in Gizmo.

I'm even using the latest Beta version (automatically updated when there is a new build)

Is there some difference between gizmo on Playstore and the one on the site?

Just wondering cause I use the one off the play store that worked fine.

I've digged into tis further and can now exactly pin down where the issue occurs:

The playlist which does not refresh in Gizmo is the one that is at the root (outside of Audio). If I move tis playlist underneath Audio, It refreshes fine.

For the "car audio" playlists, they refresh if I Access them via the playlists group but if I add these as a Library item seperately in Gizmo, they don't refresh.

same problem, top hits and and recently played under car audio do not refresh until sever process is restarted, sorry for epic dig but any updates on this? my  current fix is scheduled task in windows to restart lol
