hi, i purchased a license for mc18 (49 or so bucks)

i did the purchasing from my main workstation (a mac) and then copied the mjr file to the htpc .. everything went fine.

but it did say something about a 14 day window, i understand it assumed i had mc installed in the mac, so its giving me 14 days to "preview? demo? the soft on another pc, before revoking the license ?

it seems that i will need to restore the license in the htpc?

pls let me know if that's correct or if any other steps should be taken.

The Install Key can be used on another PC for 14 days.  After that, you need to do a Restore.

i did the restore process today in my htpc and it sent me an email that reads as follows

You have recently restored a licence for Media Center 18. There are 10 restores available in each 12 month period.  There are 9 restores remaining at this time.

The restore activates Media Center and installs the license automatically.

The Install Key is attached to this email.  It is valid for 14 days.  To install on another PC, transfer the Install Key to the PC, make sure the correct version of Media Center is installed, then execute the Install Key by double clicking on it.

When you install a license, it lasts as long as you have the machine.

You could read about the Install Key on our Purchase Page, linked above.

You must execute the Install Key (mjr file).  This installs the license after which you will remain fully licensed.
