Well, I took the chance and made the jump, since I didn't have much to do today, with my wife making the house ready for Christmas and me and the kids hiding...  Well, OK. I do a bit as well, but she really don't want me washing anything or any other advanced chores. I stick to herding my Roomba bots in the rooms that doesn't need washing!

All in all the upgrade was a rather pleasant experience, once I managed to find my preferences of the new possibilities. I have to say that the Overview in Playing now is extremely useful in my system. And the new video playback engine makes everything quite a bit smoother. Very good upgrade all in all! But I do have one small problem: I really, really do not want the bar with those 12 preset buttons at the bottom of the display part of the Playing now window. Of course I really, really, really don't want the Play doctor part either, but I'm afraid that battle was lost on 17... I would prefer an empty box when nothing's playing and just the cover otherwise. But at least: Can somebody tell me how to get rid of that preset bar, if possible. And of course if there is a magic apple now that can keep the doctor away as well it would be even better!

Cr...p. I was afraid of that. What I have always loved about MC is that it's possible to configure it and avoid things I don't need or want (like all those webshops and stuff like that), which is why it always hurts when something I don't want comes in and isn't possible to kill. At least I don't need to waste more time looking for the off button for that particular radio... Guess I'll just have to close the display section of the Playing now.

I just hate those buttons and I hate the cover view I would love the player or playing now as just a list of the songs I add. Off course it should bie "on/off".

Ctrl-O and type Car Radio.  Disable and restart MC.

"Hate" isn't a nice word in English.

Actually a restart isn't even necessary. Thank you very much! Now if I could type "Play Doctor" and do the same, I'd be very happy with the Playing now! ;) And since that option for "Car Radio" has been quietly put in since I originally asked the quesiton maybe there is hope to use an apple to keep the doctor away?
