Gizmo with MC 18, CPU go up to 100%
« on: February 09, 2013, 05:45:22 am »

Hello
Today, I updated from MC17 to MC18. Works in general fine.
But now, when I try to look a video on the android phone, the cpu form computer runs to 100% and its not possible to see the video.
- When I use gizmo and set playing on server, it works
- When I close mc18, then it works for maybe half a minute (till server is down?)
- When I change a setting on mc18 (during this 100%), maybe sometings on client options , cpu goes down, it works for 30 seconds, then video close on phone without message. Try again, then the same again with 100%...

With MC17, its works fine.

Thanks for your help

Check the conversion settings.  Try no conversion.

I've experienced the high CPU utiliztion (90%-100%) on my PC running MC18, while streaming to a Gizmo player on my Nexus 7.

Changing the Media Network -> Client Options -> Video Conversion to None (or any other format) didn't seem to make a difference.

On the Nexus 7, Gizmo's video quality setting is set to High.

On the Nexus 7, Gizmo's video quality setting is set to High.

Try reducing this, High requires more performance on the server to convert it.
Note that the quality was increased in MC18, which is why it would use more CPU then MC17 would.
