BUG?: JRiver Mac audio takes over system audio
« on: March 23, 2013, 01:59:18 pm »

By default, it seems like MC takes over the entire system audio on my MacbookPro. No other sounds can play and the system level volume controls don't work.

I'm using 18.0.155.

You probably have exclusive audio mode turned on for the device. When that happens MC stops other audio from going to the device. This improved audio quality, but system sounds and other sounds get diverted to the next device.

kiwi is correct.   But try stopping playback instead of pausing it.

That was it. I haven't spent much time mucking with the settings in Mac MC, and don't remember setting that. Is it the default when you install? Maybe it was in an earlier build, and it retained my settings?
