updating library
« on: February 12, 2013, 06:26:07 pm »

I prefer copying/burning to my desktop, then copying the files into my music directory (and subdirectories: Music/folk, music/pop etc).  The library doesn't seem to keep up.

How do I get the Library to recognize the actual directories wherein the music resides?

You could use MC to rip.

Or you could set MC's autoimport options to watch the folders that you rip to.

Your desktop may not be the best location for ripping.

MC has a very powerful Library Tool called "Move, Copy, Rename".  It can move the files if you specify a directory.

+1

Or, if you insist, set MC's Auto-Import to watch the eventual destination folder.  That's silly, though, because MC does a brilliant job.
