I bought a new laptop yesterday with Windows 8 after my old one with MC 17 stopped working. My plan was to download MC 17 and the do a restore using my registration code (I also have my licence code). Am I on the right track?
Nonetheless, I have tried to download MC17 but the Install Wizard is frozen at "Installing DirectX components". When I try to close the Install Wizard Window, a Window opens that says the installation can no longer be cancelled - I'm told in that Window to go to the Control Panel to uninstall when the install is complete but when I go to Control Panel the program cannot be uninstalled because it's not shown on the list.
Any help would be appreciated. MC17 was great on my old laptop but now I'm stuck.
