Hi guys,

I'm really confused about what happens in the program.
I can listen for 10-120 minutes and then all of a sudden it just keeps skipping to the next track. Allowing each track to play for a small time (milliseconds) and I can't get it to stop! Even re-opening MC doesn't help. The only thing that helped at the moment was to start PES2013 in full-screen. But as soon as I hit ALT-TAB or ALT-F4 (causing to be in Windows again) it skips the tracks like before. Sometimes restarting the computer helps, but sometimes it's this way right from the start. Can anyone help?

What are you playing to?  A DLNA device?

I play it through the optical out of my realtek onboard soundcard.
Also have a soundblaster Audigy 4, but I use that one only for my headset.
The problem arises at whatever DSP setting I use: Directsound, Wasapi it all doesn't matter.

I upgraded to .149 as well, but the problem persists. I never had this in Winamp or media player. However I don't think it's the program alone, i think it's a combination of hardware and software. But which one is the great question....

Do you have this problem with other players?  I have the same thing going with SMPlayer it plays a second or so an stops. In my case it started with Windows 8.  because I have so many players installed it wasn't needed so I blew it out.  Not directly related but a vexing problem.

It's the first program where it pops up. Have had Winamp, Mediaplayer, VLC.... never a problem like this.
I would really love this program to work, since it has superior sound over Winamp.

Also other question: When I am in media center and I try to "open" a file in explorer, it doesn't come in my playlist nor plays automatically, it just opens the window of media center again.

What you need to do is note the time this cutoff happens and look at your event log see exactly what happened. You will see an alert or a error recorded at the time you recorded click and open the even and it will show you exactly what the error was you can do two things with this you can send the error details to JRiver and also you can click on the link and it will take you to a page at Microsoft to see if they have a solution to the problem on the OS side. Go to your control panel and click on administrative function icon and you will find the event log there.

@ Transmaster. As you can see I already put (the first part) of the event code in the topic start. I don't know what's going on, but I assume by your reply, that the error isn't recorded in this event list?

The log shows that something sent a hotkey.

So either some remote or keyboard software is sending a 'next track' command or some remote shortcut is getting handled.  This isn't a common problem, so I would guess there's some piece of software on the system causing the trouble.

You could uninstall any custom mouse / keyboard software (IntelliType, etc.).

You could turn off all the remote support in Options > Remote Control > Devices & Options (at the bottom) > Selected input devices.

Sorry to not have a more sure answer.

Hi Matt,

thx for the input! I tried a couple of things, but the one that worked is the one where pull the usb cable of my keyboard out of the computer and it stops!

Next thing would be to find out, how my keyboard comes up doing this. Seems like a glitch somehow, which occurs more often lately. If I'm searching on google I find 10004 means something like "CTRL+UP". Don't know how to change keys in MC to maybe nothing? Haven't done anything in MC, just default settings

If so, you could try updating:

Check also any hotkey configurations in its control panel.
