A Life time License?
« on: July 27, 2013, 12:27:09 am »

Have you considered offering a life time License? I would prefer to pay more up front but not have to pay again and again for version upgrades. ?

I'm afraid it wouldn't work very well.  The changes in the "landscape" require continued development.  New OS's, new hardware, new file types, and on and on.

For most people, $20 is a modest price to pay, but I realize that's not true in some parts of the world.

Skipping every other upgrade might help.

I think that @macrog was suggesting that one would have two choices for licenses.  Either pay $50 for the initial version and then $20-30 for each version upgrade... or pay, say, $150 (I picked a random number) up front and never have to pay for an upgrade after that.

I will say that I was very happy with the process on the PC version and there seem to be lots of PC users who have been happy with the buy it and then upgrade periodically when version numbers change.

Lifetime license for all upgrades as an option would be nice.
