1. Fixed: Trackpad scrolling did not support the fine scrolling mode, so it was difficult to scroll to a particular item in a list.
2. Fixed: Web page titles on tabs were showing extraneous text.
3. NEW: Support for choosing text fonts using the Options dialog 'Select font...' item under Tree & View.
4. Fixed: Tag saving to APE files was not working (Mac only).
5. Changed: Switched the default audio buffering method to 'Hardware default' to work better with devices that don't properly support hardware buffer size changes (configurable in Options > Audio > Output mode settings...).
6. Fixed: Typing into the Search box could cause crashes when a MC Windows library had been transferred to Mac and it contained long field values (e.g. Lyrics field).
7. Changed: When a file has no Replay Gain, a Replay Gain of -10dB will be used if no other files in Playing Now are analyzed (otherwise the average of analyzed files is used).

1. Fixed: Library server syncing was not working from a Windows client to a Mac server.

4. Changed: SSDP advertisement could hard kill the advertiser in some cases, leaving sockets and/or the internet layer in an undefined state.

6. Changed: Basic HTML text formatting tokens like < b >, < font >, < u >, etc. will be supported in almost all text drawing (previously they only worked in some areas of the program).

10. Fixed: Empty temp files are no longer created when encoding lossless Wavpack.  
11. Changed: Wavpack files now display compression information.  
12. Changed: When acting as a DLNA renderer, Media Center will use "error free" mode so that playback errors won't cause message boxes to display (since the controller is normally in a different place).

1. Fixed: Media Center could become unresponsive to mouse clicks following showing of a pop-up error dialog. Mostly a problem on OSX 10.8.

13. NEW: DSP Studio can be enabled during audio conversion (Library Tools > Convert Format), allowing resampling, channel mixing, convolution, etc.
14. Fixed: A rare crash when parsing certain MP4 audio files.

1. Fixed: Importing or playing APE format files in OSX 10.6 would crash.
2. NEW:  Internal web browser support.  We still need to implement catching links so we can (for example) make web radio playback easier.
3. Changed: Audio Path will better show when a padded bitdepth (like 24-bit inside a 32-bit container) is in use.
4. Fixed: The phrase "JRSS Subwoofer (x Hz lowpass)" in Output Format configuration could not be translated.

More behavior of note.

I play an album or 2 with no problems.

I then stop the network player and switch the PWD to USB mode and listen to other material for 1-2 hours.

I then switch the PWD back to the Media Network and select another album to play.

Nothing happens, the PWD has locked up. So I restart the PWD.
I go back to the network player, where the entire album is listed.
I start the network player and immediately all of the tracks for that album disappear except for the 1st track.

Now when I was using PWD s/w 2.4.1 the PWD didn't lock up. But I went back to an earlier version (2.2.0) because it sounds better.  The PWD hadn't locked up until 215/216 were introduced.  But

So I do see where it may be the PWD s/w, but it may also be some combination of MC and PWD s/w that initiates this behavior.  Also just before I initially installed PWD s/w 2.4.1, I had performed a master reset of the PWD (basically a complete s/w & f/w purge and reinstall).  The PWD stopped locking up after that, until 215 was released.

As to what is causing these PWD lock ups and router related issues I really can't say.

Just noting the behavior.

switching between usb and bridge in PWD also causes in my PWD often the problem that you decribe. Not just only for the versions that you mentioned (2.4.1 and 2.2.0) but also for all versions I know about and also not only with JRiver but also with audirvana plus and pure music. And there are lots of threads in the ps-audio forum that mentioned strange behaviour of the PWD DAD in switching from usb to bridge and backword.
I don't think this error is caused by JRiver. PS-Audio should really start to investigate there switching between usb and bridge.

Yes, just simply switching can and does initiate these behaviors.  And after the master reset this behavior was hugely curtailed.
Until 215/216 was made available.

Now does this mean these versions of MC are the culprit?
Not necessarily, but it does imply that they are involved, in some way.

So now my setup is more erratic and unstable using 215/216 than it was with the previous versions of MC.

And again this is more a note in passing.

The album analyzer and Album Artist (auto) is not behaving correctly.  See video:

1. The Group By header, set to Album, shows the artist as Various Artists.  This is incorrect.

2. When I clear Album Artist (auto), Album Artist gets cleared.

3. Not shown in the video, when I cleared Album Artist (auto) again after #2 earlier, Artist was then cleared.  The next times I tried to reproduce this, it didn't happen, but I didn't recreate the exact circumstances.

A factor may be that I have this same album imported in a different folder, and have it tagged with different names (these are test albums).  So my guess is that the album analyzer is not taking path names into account (probably due to path-separator differences).

Convert is not honoring the n levels of directory structure.  In fact, it is creating all paths from the root.

An odd repeating behavior.

I fire up MC, and go into the Media Network server view window and watch the servers run up to speed.

Then all of a sudden, without moving the cursor to the top of the screen, the 'Help' drop down box appears on screen.

I ignore it and continue to use the app.

It doesn't seem to cause any untoward problems.

I pointed this out a few versions ago, but the horizontal scroll direction is backward. You all fixed vertical scrolling so that it followed the Lion/Mountain Lion natural scrolling direction, but horizontal still functions as though natural scrolling is off.

Also, I jumped from 212 to 216 and encountered a bug where "Convert Format" causes the application to crash if multiple items are queued. I've downgraded back to 212, but the same thing is still happening where it didn't in 212 before.

It's a little frustrating because that was my workaround for the FiiO X3 not having support for replaygain.
