Problem with sound card Auzentech Home Theater HD
« on: September 11, 2013, 09:22:04 am »

Goodmorning,
I write you because I have a problem to play my files flac 5.1

I have a HTPC with:

Windows 7 Pro 64
Motherboard & CPU: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP4 TH + intel i3-3220T + 8Gb RAM
Audio card: Autenteck Home Theater HD (Support for PCM 8 channel, 24-bit/192kHz)
> The sound card is connected directly to 5 channel amplifier with RCA connections

Windows audio is setting on "Speakers Auzentech X-Fi Home theater HD
                             proprieties 24 bit, 96000 Hz

Auzentech card is setting on "Encoder disabled"

In this days I try the last version of J River 19.0 with this set up:
Internal Volume
Audio Device: Creative (ASIO)
Device setting: channel

Volume device: [Speakers Auzentech X-Fi Home theater HD]

When I try to play the music files flac 5.1 or file mkv, JRiver says:

Playback could not be started using the format: 96kHz 24 bit 6ch
This format would work: 96kHz 24bit 2 ch
Would you like to have your DSP Studio > Output Format settings changed automatically?
Or it says my hardware not supports this file

If I click the button 'Change Settings & Continue Playback' the music files play in 2ch and not in 6ch

When I use "Default audio device (Direct sound)" there isn't this problem, but I'd like the best sound quality.

Thank you for your answer
