save search
« on: September 28, 2013, 08:29:18 pm »

Is there a way to save a search (such as: [Name]="", where one can fill in the "" string with a search criteria)?

Seems to me a very basic feature missing from the program.

I read on the forum about using a Smartlist for this, but that is a retarded workaround.

Also don't see Boolean AND/OR, or is that hidden in the muck of the over-elaborated expression language.

I'm surprised the software designers failed to appreciate such basic database functionality.

You'll get better help if you just ask the question.

Thanks for the kind words.

A Smartlist is a saved search.

You can also create a 'Search List' category in any library view that's a fully customizable list of searches.
