I would be really interested in it if it would work on an unraid server.
unraid is based on slackware.
 It would only require a library server to run.
Also It would require a daemon or remote client to work.
this way it would make it possible to turn other computers off and use only the unraid server to stream audio when not at home.

+1 for an unraid server.  It will be a great compliment to a HTPC running full media center.

I had to look it up.  Slackware is a Linux distro, so it might be possible to support.

We will try to make sure that the most popular flavors are supported.

Jim - Yes, it is based off slackware but is not a full fledged OS with all bells and whistles, part of the reason why it works very well across older hardware as well. Almost everyone runs it as a headless serverr. Plex server runs great on it and comes as pre-packaged install file. This would be the ideal scenario for running JRiver on an Unraid box.

I can buy a licence and help with pilot installation if needed, I have a 27TB Unraid server. I am not great with Linux but can manage details reasonably.

Count me among that number. 46 Tb unraid server with all my MC media on it.
I echo flydeep completely. Willing to buy a licence to help get MC server running on unraid.

This would mean a LOT to most of the users who run unraid and MC.
