Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2013 (RMAF)
« on: October 10, 2013, 07:53:28 am »

RMAF is a big yearly audio show held in Denver, Colorado.  More here:
http://audiofest.net/new/

The show is this Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 11 - Oct. 13).

I'm flying out to RMAF tomorrow morning.

I'm on a couple panels Saturday:

The rest of the time I'll be wandering the floor, trying not to spend my lunch money on audio gear.

If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend, come on out to the show.

Hope to see a few of you there.

There is a lot of silly stuff like that.

However, there's also a lot of great stuff -- passionate people that build products they believe in, good new music, cool technology, etc.

I know... and I wished I still lived in Denver so I could go.

I wish I could attend this year. GR-Research has some cool new open baffle line source speakers/subs they will be showing off. I mentioned your panel discussions on their forum at Audiocircle. Perhaps you could stop by their room.

I'd be willing to drive out next year to help host a JRiver room. The price could be shared among several participants:  speakers, amps, DACs, software, acoustic treatments, etc.  8)

Be sure to check out the new Alpha Dog headphones by "MrSpeakers" with 3D Printed Ear Cups.  :o  :o

The inventor, Dan Clark will be there with 4 sets to audition.

Tell him you develop JRiver MediaCenter and invented APE !

Was just there.

TAD using J River on a new server platform from Blue Smoke Entertainment Systems to show off TAD speakers and electronics.  Possibly the best sound at the show (according to others who heard it)!  I think the server (and the $70,000 amps) had a lot to do with it.

384/32 playback from a PC over ASIO and WASAPI - Full JRiver support.  Supports Mac and Linux too (JRiver version on those platforms as well).

Ask Andrew to play the Supertramp recording!
