I thought it might be useful to provide some definitions.

rpm is a package manager, originally written for Red Hat Linux.

libcurl provides web related functions necessary to support features like UPnP / DLNA.

distro is a distribution or flavor of Linux.  Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, RedHat, etc.
