impossible to download any plug-in

I can't download any plug in, always get the message failed to connect to a server .
Nyther can i acces cddb database i get the message sever not found or internal faillure socket not connected, the same problem of failed to connect to Yadb sever!
Now i have officialy purchased med. jukebox 8 and i have still the same problems.
With music match jukebox witch i use also i don't have tose problems.
I hope that someone has a simple answer to these problems thank's !!  macko

That could be a network problem at your end or on the Internet somewhere.  I just downloaded the MP3 encoder without problems.

Are you using IE?  Which plug-in are you having trouble with?

Other possibilities are firewalls.

None of the plug ins can i download, failed to connect to a server and failed to download paige!
If i click on latest MJ news also nothing happens message failed to connect to server failed to download page!
Neither can i get to CDAB or YADB the same message appears. The strange thing is when i click on buy media Jukebox plus then everything works no connection troubles!
When i install 7.2 version i have no problems to download any of the plug ins only i can't get to the CDDB database isn't that very strange?
I use ie 6 and work with windows XP, after shutting of my firewall evrything remais the same, no downloads no YADB.
I use also use musicmatch jukebox and it works perfectly.

Are you using a proxy server? Check your Internet Explorer settings.

Yes i'm using a proxy i'm over a lan, but why don't i have the problem with ver. 7.2

Is it Microsoft proxy server? If so, I'm working on it.

The proxy code changed between 7.2 and 8.

Because of download problems, i deleted your program manually (med jukebox 8) and downloaded ver. 9, and at once the downloading was possible! Then i deleted ver. 9 and reinstalled ver.8 and now it goes well!!!

I also tried before to delete ver.8 and reinstall it several times but it still didn't work.

Did someone changed something at your program or not? ' STRANGE THINGS HAPPENS AT CHRISTMAS TIME'
Finaly i can download all your plugin's.

I'm evaluating MJ8 and was having the same problem with downloading plugins through a firewall. My Internet proxy settings were set to automatic configuration using a specified automatic configuration script.

My workaround was to temporarily change my Internet  settings to use a hardcoded proxy rather than the configuration script. Once I made that change, the plugin downloaded fine.

I also had the same problems above, but fixed.
I guess it's just a language problem. your directory's name of the folder in your local drive does not use English, or partly use it. In my case, the name of directory for My Documents partly uses Japanese characters.

Download files by right clicking on the link, and put the files just below your local drive.

Then open the files.
