I use the Google search bar on the Services & Plug-Ins page in MC19 to get to web sites.  When I play music on a web site (such as Wolfgang's Vault) while in MC19, the sound comes through my computer speakers (as if I'm just using Internet Explorer outside of MC19) instead of through my normal MC19 audio path to my audio system (USB ASIO).  

How can I get MC19 to play music, which I access on web pages using MC19, through my regular MC19 audio path (USB ASIO)?

I'm not exactly sure how that audio path is chosen.  It sounds like Internet Explorer is just using the sound device set by windows.  Can anyone offer some insight if it's possible for Media Center to change that?

The easiest way to do what you want is to turn on JRiver's loopback function and to use a browser outside of JRiver to play the music.  Loopback will re-route the audio from the default soundcard back through JRiver's audio path.  In addition to JRiver's built in loopback, there are also external software plugins that perform a similar function, see here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=84993.0 .  Some websites will only output sound to the windows default device (i.e. netflix), so some sort of loopback solution is the only way to deal with those for now.

The reason you have to use an external browser is that if you enable loop back in JRiver and then try to play something in the browser, it turns loopback right back off.  If you really want to use JRiver's built in web browser, the only way I know of to get sound from websites that only use the default audio device is to set up a second zone in JRiver and enable loopback in that zone.  If you need more detailed instructions on how to do that, let me know.

In MC19 it's under the file menu option "Open Live," but that was a UI change from the way it was previously enabled.  I can't recall if that UI change happened towards the end of 18 or at the beginning of 19.  In either event, "Open URL" with "live://loopback" should work if "Open Live" isn't an option.

Press the stop button.  Think of it as though it were a music file that you're playing; it can be paused, stopped, etc.

I had the same problem, that is I couldn't close it.

You have to be in the proper zone. In Playing Now you'll actually see something that looks like a track. You can deal with it like you would any  track. It took me a while to figure that out though.
