Auto Import
« on: January 12, 2014, 05:32:45 pm »

New to JRiver. Having trouble with auto import.  I'm ripping all my Cd's to an external hard drive.  but the auto import isn't pulling them onto JRiver.  The only way I can get the ripped Cd's in the MC is to manually import a single folder.  I believe all my settings are correct.  Can anyone help?

Is the folder you are ripping to added to the Auto Import folders to watch?

I've done that numerous times.  The system runs the scan, but nothing gets imported.  There seems to either be a problem with one of the settings...or there is a software issue.  I'm inclined to believe the problem is in one of the settings...but I cannot determine which one or how to correct.  Any chance we could have a phone conversation?

It may already be imported.  Try a search within MC.

If that's not it, double check which file types you're importing.  Edit the folder in the auto import options.

Been there, done that.  Gone through the process numerous times.  I'm hoping to get some specific technical assistance on the settings.

Create a Smartlist, and hit the Import / Export button.  Enter exactly:

   ~d=a

and OK your way out.  Now use the Search box to look for any of the files (you can use the path components).  Do they appear?
