JRemote Stopped Working
« on: January 17, 2014, 06:22:37 pm »

All of a sudden today JRemote quit working. I get the message "Connection failure. Cannot connect to server. Make sure it is available. I can't remember what to do. My wifi checks out fine. I think I was supposed to go to Media Network and Use Media Network is checked and Authentication is checked.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Please post in the JRemote thread on the Third Party board.

Power cycle everything first.

Sorry my mistake. But I had found out that reverting back to 19.0.100 from 19.0.103 resolved the issue.

Reinstalling build 103 might also work.  I don't think we've done anything to cause problems in JRemote.

I will try 103 again.

You were correct in that you would want to go to Tools->Options->Media Network and ensure that "Use Media Network to Share this library and enable DLNA" is checked. This was working for me in .103 and I tried it today again and JRemote did not work. Oddly the above was unchecked on my system, checking it resolved the issue.

Not sure how it became unchecked as I don't think I knowingly did that. Such is life.
