How do I use JRiver on two computers?
« on: February 08, 2014, 12:06:30 pm »

I just purchased JRiver 9 days ago and have it set up on my PC. Now I would like to put it on my laptop and possibly my wifes PC. These PC's are all on our home network. When trying to open on my laptop I picked the restore license option but it won't let me type in my registration code. Also when I get this working on my laptop can I keep the JRiver in sync with my PC and visa versa?

Thanks

If you have the .mjr license file, you should be able to just double click or open it.  It will install the license.

Thanks got it licensed. Now I just have to figure out how to sync. I assume I'll find that in one of the links you provided.

Yes.  In the Media Network link, check out the information on Library Server.  It sounds like you may want to do this:  http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Library_Server#Access_from_another_PC_over_Internet

Thank you! I used the instructions on the access another PC on your LAN in your link. I then could set up sync via this link. http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Library_Server_Sync
