Check the permissions of the destination folders? Some might be read-only?

when copying MC did create the folders, and the folders are not locked.

when Using Other copy programs they copy fine.

Copy And Move Option.

I just tried to copy 1 file to drive "D", and it worked.

then I tried To Copy 1 File To Drive "Y" (The Drive I Have Been Trying To Copy To) And It Worked.

Then I Tried To Copy 18589 Files To Drive "Y" - This Did Not Work.

So the issue Is when trying to Copy Many Files At The Same Time Or There Is A File Within That 18589 Files That Is Tripping MC Up When It Is Preparing To Copy.

My guess - is that somewhere in that 18589 files is one or more files that has an issue, corruption, file in use - something that is causing the copy to fail.

If it were me - and had 18K files - I would use another tool to do the actual copy work and then use R, M & Copy to repoint the library after the fact in MC.

Kind Of Defeats the purpose of fixing MC copy Issues.

I just found A Folder Problem, So MC may have been aborting the copy on that.

I will test it out soon to see if the folder issue made MC fail, It was Kind of interesting it was a folder issue on "The Mary Jane Girls". Windows Explorer And Directory Opus Also Would Issue An Error, That's How I Found That Issue With The Folder.

Kind Of Defeats the purpose of fixing MC copy Issues.

Well - it's also a bit forward to blame MC if Windows can't even navigate that folder correctly. MC does not "trump" the OS - and if there is a file system issue - I wouldn't expect MC to gracefully navigate it.

In all my use of R,C and Move (Which is a LOT) - I have never come across any issue that I could pin on MC. It's always an issue with a file or the filesystem and I have always solved the issue by letting Windows care of it.

the point is if it is an issue with an error it should be trapped (with programing) and or skipped, or both so the program can continue with the task as best as possible.

at any rate, I am going to start another copy to see if it was the folder error that tripped up MC.

I will report my results.

The Problem Was The MP3 File.

I deleted it, and the folder so it could have been the folder or one of the 5 (I think) Hidden files (Cover art, and A Desktop.ini file)

when Copying in windows Explorer it said it could not find the file, and or folder, but the error message was cut off.

However, MC Created Folders On The Destination Drive For The Files To Go Into Before It Aborted The Copy.
