OT.

Can somebody explain this?
I was logged with my account and I couldn't see Hendrik msg.
Then I had to reboot, I went back to the forum and BEFORE LOGGING IN with my account I see:

> I can't help but wonder, if the audio is so much better, why doesn't a DAC that costs 20k € provide a feature to do this "improvement"? Smiley
>
> Jim, we should charge more! Wink

Then I log in with my account and Hendrik msg is empty again.
Hard to believe... :(

You might just need to refresh the page. The message is certainly still there.

Jim, please read again what I wrote.

I'm speaking about text and not images.
The problem is: when I'm logged in I do not see some messages.

That's bizarre-sauce.  (For the record, I just checked, and I can still see Hendrik when logged out, and in.)

Glynor, it happens with 3 different PCs from 2 different location (home & office), but, yes: it's really bizarre! ;)

Here the problem is more evident:

Is it all posts by Hendrik, or just this thread?

I wonder if Hendrik accidentally "blocked" you (like you might a spammer or something) at some point.  You're obviously not banned from the forum entirely, but maybe he did it before he was an admin or something?

I looked around, and I can't find any such place to make a setting like that, though.  There's an Ignore list, but that doesn't do the same thing (and I checked and his is blank).

Nevermind, I see the post above now.  It appears that it applies to other users as well.  Is it just admin users?

No, Glynor, the spammer block  was the first thing I thought, but it's random, I can see some Hendrik messages, as I can see most of Jim messages.
Why don't you try to login with my account? I can send you a PW in PM.

P.S. I replyed in the other thread while you were moving the msgs... please delete it ;)

Nah, I got it.  Took me a minute to remember how to merge topics.

Anyhow...

Maybe something with fonts and your language setting?  What language do you have set?

Of course, I'm italian and I  use an italian version of Windows, etc.
BTW I don't know how to change the forum Language.

It probably detected it when you joined, because you have it set, based on your screenshots.  If you click on the Profile link in the toolbar across the top (under your profile picture), then it'll take you to your profile page.

From there, along the left-hand side, there are a variety of Modify Your Account pages.

I just switched mine to Italian and looked around and couldn't see anything similar.

Very odd.  And to confirm, it is still happening, and happens often enough that you can see it right away?  I'll have to do a search for SMF-problems that could cause it, I suppose, unless one of the JRiver folks speaks up and knows the cause.

That's a good clue.

I found this post:
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=252393.0

Which looks like the exact same issue, and the member helping (who couldn't help this person as they weren't an admin on the server), mentioned that:

But it could be a number of things from missing language $txt[] strings to the current server not working properly and sending all the data to the client browser.  Thus 'missing' posts and content.

I had the same problem when I chose swedish as language. When I switched back to english everything looked normal again.
