Hendrik's gone for a couple days

He's going to see his family for a long weekend in Germany.  He said they celebrate Easter with a bonfire.  Seems appropriate.

He also says he's close on Chromecast support.  Maybe next week.

Its not like I'm traveling far, my parents live like an hour away in the suburbs on the other side of the city (well, during holidays more like 2 hours away, everyone is on the road!)
But outside of holidays or birthdays we rarely get together with everyone, with my sister studying in another city and all, so its always nice to come together.

The Easter bonfires are pretty common in the northern parts of Germany, typically every small town has its own and many of the townsfolk gather, or in larger cities many districts hold their own.

It's a great time to travel with family, we are in a hotel in Tasmania which claim to fame is that it has the oldest spiral staircase....it is even heritage listed...at 150 years old.  In Europe that would be considered "recently renovated"😄

@jmone- Similar history here in Atlantic Canada. Our church uses the original building in pale sugar country for social events and small services; it is old at 180 years. A couple of friends from my church were recently in Chester England in a church built around 900 AD.

Happy Easter and family time to all!
