New Computer
« on: April 26, 2014, 12:20:39 pm »

Hello,

I just reinstalled MC 19 on a new computer. My library came over, but I am missing my scheduler items, and all my custom expressions from the recent menus in rename/move/copy, etc. I still have access to the old computer. What do I need to copy over to add this stuff back? And is there anything else that wasn't stored in the library that I might need?

Thanks!

Backup on your old PC, restore on your new PC, including settings.  Not all settings can be transferred.

Cool, I didn't know it had a backup function. I hope the old computer will still boot since I gutted it a little. If not, does MC make backups on a schedule, and where are they typically kept? In case I have to dig for it…

Okay. I guess I did know, but I didn't know (or forgot) it included settings now. Found it, restored, but it does not include scheduler items. No biggie. I can recreate them.

If only Outlook made backup and restore so easy. :-P

I'm a dummie... it didn't include scheduler stuff because I never added it when I had to reset MC19!
