I put in a CD to play and I click devices, then the CD player, MJ starts to access the CDDB but then comes up with the following - Staus: CDDB: CDDB server can't be found (82fa0008)

This was working fine on v7, but I upgraded 2 days ago and have had this problem ever since.

Can anybody help?

I'm having the same problem -- Even in version 7. I upgraded to 8 thinking it might go away (doh!) and it's still a problem. I'm just finishing up ripping my 600 disc collection... I can't go without CDDB!

Did you have a firewall?

do you have a Proxy?

If you have a Proxy are the settings set within MJ?

This is bizarre! I have just logged on again and now the connection to CDDB is back to normal! I have changed absolutely nothing.

if you have a firewall installed and it was not running, that may have been the problem.
