Sound problem
« on: June 07, 2014, 07:47:04 am »

I can play songs for anywhere from 1-2 minutes before the song becomes a digital howl.  Must press stop several times and kill MC to make it stop.  Happens on a variety of songs, so it's not a bad disc thing.

Win 7, 12GB RAM, Asus Essence STX, KRK 6 Near Field.

Any thoughts on what may be happening? Thanks.

Can you try a second device, other than the ASUS, to test?

I would do a backup then reinstall MC. Or if you haven't done this already, update the latest version (at the top of this board).
Perhaps a system file got corrupted.

That sounds like a crash or a hang.  Probably related to your audio driver, or your audio setup in MC.  Read:

Well that seems to have fixed it.  Thanks all.

Backup library and re-install 137.
