Suggestion to use MMCSS profiles to prioritize playback
« on: June 27, 2014, 06:03:32 am »

How about using mmcss profile to prioritize playback in modern Windows systems?
I know MC already  prioritize its playback but still in high sample rates hiccups and buffer underruns are occasionally occurring .
If MC would use 'playback' or 'pro audio' profiles , or even better - let the user choose his own selection , it would allow to better control of prioritizing audio in the system.

OK , Thanks.

Playback is not without buffer underruns at 192khz samplerate so I try to figure out a solution (without downsampling the audio stream).

Increase buffering in Options > Audio > Device settings....
