Can someone please refresh my memory concerning the MC UPnP / DLNA Server Settings: "Specified output format only when necessary" -- what is the criterion for MC deciding when conversion is necessary?

I believe it won't convert when the device advertises support for the format.

Hmm. As you know I have had discussions elsewhere with you and bob about using GetProtocolInfo for auto negotiation and based on that discussion I got a strong impression that this is precisely not what MC currently does; which is why I asked this question..
