JRiver Seems to be locked on the core audio settings, where as Audirvana is using the DAC high end settings...

Hi There,

Been pulling my hair trying to get JRiver working for the Geekout DAC from LH. A lot of folks out there are having the same issues.

So if you can send me some additional information on how to trouble shoot DSD NATIVE (Forced detection) play back I can send this to the posts.. Perhaps you get some new customers.. :-)

If you are using ASIO, the DoP setting is controlled via Device Settings. (sorry, didn't realize this was in the Mac forum)

If you are using any other output, Media Center should automatically detect whether DSD or DoP should be used when bitstreaming is enabled.

As far as I can tell, there is only DoP support over CoreAudio. I don't think there is a way to do anything else with CoreAudio.

Although I have no idea what you are asking. Try being more verbose. DSD over PCM (DoP) is already supported.

Exactly.  It works just fine with both my Geek Out and my two iFi iDSDs (Nano and Micro).

JRiver UNINSTALL Cleaning tool needed...
« Reply #7 on: August 15, 2014, 03:44:29 pm »

JRiver is only working on 1 iMac, I suspect that I need to reinstall MC19.

However installation and reinstallation still shows previous history, leading me to think that JRiver can't be uninstalled %100.

Yeh I have Geekout actually working on my iMac21 but not the 24". JRiver leaves behind programs left-overs that is corrupting a CLEAN reinstallation it seems

Re-installing should be a last resort.  Could you describe your issue instead?

To uninstall completely: (this will make it necessary to re-register Media Center)

1. Delete Media Center application.
2. Go into [Library > Application Support > J River] and delete this folder.
3. Delete JRiver from Documents and anywhere else you've created libraries.

JRiver's install and uninstall generally work very well.  Please provide details.
