20.0.13 (9/5/2014)

1. Fixed: MCWS/v1/Playback/Zones wasn't honoring the hidden variable correctly.
2. Fixed: MCWS/v1/DSP/SetTempo returned a failure code even though it was working.
3. Fixed: For some television/video capture devices pressing Stop button immediately after pressing Pause button (or double-clicking Play/Pause button to Stop) would result in a crash.
4. Fixed: Hidden zones weren't hidden from the Zones toolbar button or from Theater View.
5. Fixed: MC could crash when using ZoneSwitch rules and switching library.

1. NEW: ATSC television channels can be specified directly using a remote control or NumPad on keyboard, using '*' key on either remote control or NumPad, or '.' (decimal) key on NumPad, as separator betweem major and minor channels (e.g. "5.1" or "5*1").
2. Changed: When deleting from Playing Now, the next file will play instead of the last if the current track is deleted.
3. NEW: Added television subscription recording option "Search all fields for name".  This allows a name/title in Description field be matched, in addition to Name and Series fields.
4. Fixed: Television recording cleanup mode was not set when subscribing to a show in Theater View.
5. Changed: Updated the Indonesian translation (thanks elda).
6. Fixed: Default tags were not applied when subscribing to a television show in Theater View.

1. Changed: When running MC in client mode, television channel ordering info is obtained from the server so channel ordering will be consistent on all clients.
2. Changed: When grouping by date recorded, the maximum value will be used instead of an average value.
3. Changed: MC sets Bit Depth and Sample Rate for SACD files on import.
4. Fixed: Reporter "Audio Analyzed" always reported 100%.
5. Changed: Audio Analysis of files with only silence will mark the files as "No Audio" instead of trying to boost the volume by an extreme value.
6. NEW: Files can be added to a playlist from Theater View (pick the Add to Playlist menu choice).
7. NEW: Added Cover Art Scale to the Display View menu with an option to show the cover at 100%.

I am still unable to Convert Format mp3->flac.  When I click convert, MC if playing goes into short repeating loop for a few seconds then crashes.  If not playing, MC crashes after a few seconds.

Convert Format works fine in MC19.

DSP Settings still do not work.  I can save a setting, and load it, but the saved equalizer settings are not restored.

It's funny because you sent me a sample MP3 that fails for you.  But for me, it converts with no problem.  It's a mystery.

I've emailed you the logs from a Convert Format crash.  Hopefully will help figure out what has changed.

DVD/Blu-ray playback is broken in this build.
None of the disc names show up, and when I try to play something, I get:

The track named 'Blu-ray Movie' cannot be played because the volume labeled 'Compact Disc' was not found.

Had to revert to 20.0.12

That's kind of a one off, because Blu-ray is working here.

Well I hope someone can reproduce it, because it's a major problem and is 100% reproducible here.
If it makes any difference, I have two physical drives connected to the PC, rather than a single one.

I can too reproduce this problem, but with more info. My CD drive was not recognizing ANY media and showed the drive as being empty, no matter if was CD, DVD or Blu-ray. I decided to uninstall JRiver  - including setting – and reinstall from scratch after saving my library and settings. What happened was most strange. I still had a CD in the drive and JRiver recognized it and wanted to scan. Upon restarting after the library and settings import, the media, once again (and including CD’s) was not longer recognized. Obviously there is something in my settings, but I am at a total loos as what it would be …

Setting MC20's volume to Internal causes my laptop's volume & mute function keys not to function. In order to use these keyboard controls I must use the System Volume setting.


*Correction . . .  using Internal cause MC to commandeer the keyboard volume controls, and disables their Mute control.

I am not sure if I like MC doing this, but I know I do want the MUTE button to work regardless.

I cannot play 192k music flac files.  If I go to Options->DSP->OutputFormat and change MC to resample 192k to 96k and restart MC20, the file will play, but then as it goes to the next file, there is no output and Options->DSP->OutputFormat has lost the setting to resample to 96k.  MC20 appears to be playing the 192k files, the elapsed time displays count down, but no output.

So I tried MC19.163 same thing...

I loaded MC19.155 and all 192k files play with out any resampling.

I tried to burn a DVD and was asking repeatedly to load a blank DVD,  and did that repeatedly with no success.  I rebooted and saw that the latest 20.0.13 that I had hoped to avoid auto-installed at start-up.  Burner message is now, "Media Center could not find a suitable burner installed on this machine."  'nuff said.

Playing/Pausing a video, switching views between Theater/Standard/Display, or interacting with Theater View via JRemote is not disabling the screensaver.
Had to go through to another room where the PC is normally accessed and move the mouse.
 
This is related to my other issue, where it should be optional that a paused video even allows the screensaver to be displayed at all. (I do not want a fullscreen video to allow the screensaver or display sleep, even when paused)

Change your settings under Help to subscribe to "Stable" instead of "Latest".

An optical disc problem is fixed in the next build.  It will be on the MC20 board today or tomorrow.  Download and install it manually.

I don't seem to be getting any cover art displayed in Playing Now for SACD tracks - just a Media Center logo.
Works in Theater View, but not Standard View.
