Rename a file from the properties (when selected from Playing Now) doesn't update the path although it does still play.

Don't know if this is by design or not.

Well, sort of :->

Multimedia keys work fine when MJ has focus.

When MJ does not have focus:
- Play/pause button "blips" playback when MJ is playing, and starts Windows Media Player
- Stop button causes MJ to GPF
- Prev/Next track buttons work fine.

Full screen menubars are still screwy (mentioned in 2 previous builds)

They flicker on/off and finally disappear without reappearing. Several right-clicks and the context menu appears to allow you to get out of full screen.

NEW: MJ Shell Extention is now enabled for folders.

This new feature does not show up on my Win2K Pro PC...is there some trick to getting it to show up for folders?

Nevermind:  I hadn't rebooted my PC yet...after rebooting, this feature was there.

Noticed on the upgrade to .198 that my CD Burn Speed was cut from 8x to 4x. I saw that many were having problems with.107 and the Burner not being recognized. Was the new lower speed put in to make MJ more compatable with all Burners? Will it be increased in later versions? I have a Yamaha 4x 4x 16x.

JimH;

I tried many different resolutions, they all exhibit the same problem(s). Not a big deal, if it works properly for the majority of people, I'll chalk it up to the fact I have an unsupported video card (3DFX is no longer around)

I'm really glad that you added media key compatibility to this new version.  However, it still does not work on my Logitech keyboard that I'm using on WIN2000.  Any suggestions on how I can solve this?  I do not think it is related to the keyboard because it does work on WinAmp, Sonique and Real Jukebox...  I'm looking forward to deleting these programs from my computer.

Shell Extensions> If MJ isn't running when I try to use shell extensions, I get an error message that says C:\Program File\yadda yadda\Media Jukebox.exe could not be found. If MJ is running when I try this, it works fine.

Mr_X
Your not the only one having this problem, I have had this for several builds now.  I would think I have a supported videocard, Nvidia Geforce 2, so it is probably something else.  I have tried it on 2 machines and get the same problems on both.

Udo_1-

First, please verify you have the 198 build (help/about). Then try uninstalling (tell MJ to remove registry entries) and reinstall. Please let me know if you have any luck.

Thanks!

Hi,
I have the focus / send to set to a play list. When I'm playing that play list and I'm looking at Playing Now there doesn't appear to be a way of playing a particular song in the playlist.

That is, if I double click on the song I want it doesn't start playing and it isn't added to the playlist. If I right click and select Play then the rest of Playing Now is removed.

Something is not right IMHO.

Hi John,

I downloaded the new one today. It is 8.198.

Let me just tell you what I did so far.

I installed the MJ7.2 on an virgin computer (new installation of  w2k on a clean disk). It gave me exactly the same error message: Failed to find any CD-R/W devices on your system. This was OK there was no aspi  layer installed jet. After installing the Adaptec aspi it worked fine.

Next I upgraded to version 198. No chance, still the same indication. Is sees the device, but it does not recognize it as a CD-R/W.

So I went on and deleted the wnaspi32.dll in the system32 dir. I expected a totally different error code  like “path to dll not found” etc. But I was surprised to see, that nothing changed. When you hit the in the Options window, you see SCSI activity, so its still looking out there for devices.

Then I copied the Nero-wnaspi32 into my system32 dir. Clicking the doesn’t show any scisi activity at all. So I’m pretty sure, there is something strange in this area.   However, with other software, like WinonCd, Windows Media Player and even MJ 7.2 the problem doesn’t show up.

I don’t know right now, where it is tight to the SCSI, because I’m running a plain SCSI system and I don’t know about the others.

For your convenience, I attached some of my system infos.

No visualizations in 198...

I've lost the ability to view visualizations. In the last build, viewing the 'main' tab of 'playing now' showed the current vis in half of the screen and the now playing list in the other. Now the part the should display the vis has the generic MJ logo ("The one that plays it all"). (same for the 'display' tab)Boo.

Running Win 98 se, 300mhz, 168 mb ram.

When adding a playlist via the icon on the toolbar and your playlist tree is not expanded, you loose all your playlists and only the new one appears.
After restarting MJ it comes back.

Can't it prompt a box in which "playlist group" to create the playlist like the "send to" is working ?

When entering Media Library or Playing now or other via an icon in the toolbar, the tree does not expand, only when clicking on the tree item with the mouse.

When in playing now switch from Main to another tab (e.g. Playlist) and go back to main, the focus of the currently song that's playing is out of
screen. This only happens when your currently playing songs is still in the first 5 to play of your playlist.

If you set your Visualisation window in "playing now/main" to a certain size and click then on "Media Library" and then go back to "playing now/main", all is ok.
When switching from "Playing now/main" to "Playing now/Playlist" and back to "Playing now/main", the visualisation window is smaller then what I have chosen.
When then switching back to "Media Library" and back to "Playing now/main", the vis window is ok again.
