Alternative Android J River audio streaming client
« on: October 03, 2014, 11:48:12 pm »

Hey everyone.

For the last couple of years I have been working on an alternative Android client for streaming music only from Media Center in my free time (which is admittedly not much these days). Why? I did this partly because at the time Gizmo had some reliability issues, and partly as a dogfood project to gain some experience in developing for android. I think it is nearing completion, and I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in seeing it released?

I previously developed the Windows 7 integration plug-in for Media Center.

Also I would be interested to hear from the JRiver team if they have any concerns with me releasing it, if they do I won't go forward with it.

You can see some older screenshots of the development progress here: http://davidvedvick.info/category/coding/music-streamer/

Thanks!

I don't see why not. It's allways good to see other people work.
What version of android will it run on?
