Moving Playlist with new Path, Win 7, MC20
« on: March 26, 2015, 06:20:33 pm »

I've searched but can't find any instructions that work. Just give me a link if there is one and I'll use it.

I have playlist on one computer with the songs linked on a path e:/music/music/artist/album/song. I want to move the playlist to another computer where the path to the music is g:/music/JRivermusic/artist/album/song. I'm exporting the playlist to playlist.mpl. Then importing the playlist to MC20 on the new computer. How do I re-link the songs to the new path on the new computer without having to type in the new path on every song? Any help or direction to instructions would be appreciated.

I am a new user and I'm getting very frustrated at my inability find answers to basic questions in the WIKI and FAQ sections. When I do find it, it's pertaining to a previous version and doesn't work. The support of this software is very difficult to navigate for a first time user.

The Library Tools may help.  You can use Find and Replace.

The wiki has a topic on "Moving Files".
